The Studio

Founded in 2003, 2nd Street Yoga Studio is the premier facility in the Mount Rainier foothills for yoga.  Be prepared to sweat, work hard, and break through!  Linking poses together in powerful, balanced, and flowing sequences, Shanna teaches yoga with intent and compassion. She creates a positive, challenging, and friendly class environment where you are encouraged to explore your edge, discover your strength, and awaken your spirit.

Power Vinyasa Yoga is a truly unique yoga practice, based on intuition rather than tradition. This challenging yoga is a dynamic combination of strength, sweat and spirituality. It is a flowing practice that heals, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind.

Power Vinyasa Yoga is for beginners and advanced students, and emphasizes breathing to connect the body and mind. This yoga offers students more than the familiar poses and breathing techniques; it offers a way to face life with renewed personal strength. Classes are approximately 90 minutes long.

"This is a new yoga, a non-dogmatic, progressive yoga," says Baron Baptiste. "Yoga is philosophy in motion, there is no quick fix, no short cut to physical health and fitness, just a process, and in yoga the goal is the process."
